Gilan

As part of the awareness-raising activities of the Conservation of Iranian Wetlands Project (CIWP), a total of 22 awareness events were organized in Gilan Province during 2025–2026. These events aimed to raise awareness among local communities living in the project’s pilot villages around Anzali Wetland about the importance of conserving this internationally significant wetland, available conservation measures, and the ecosystem-based approaches promoted by the Conservation of Iranian Wetlands Project.
