Khuzestan

As part of the awareness-raising activities of the Conservation of Iranian Wetlands Project (CIWP), a total of 24 awareness events were organized in Khuzestan Province during 2025 2026. These events were designed to increase awareness among local communities living in the project’s pilot villages around Shadegan Wetland about the importance of conserving this internationally significant wetland, the range of available conservation measures, and the ecosystem-based approaches promoted by the Conservation of Iranian Wetlands Project.
